Penne is a long way to come for most - so we thought we would put on a number of events around the wedding for those that wish to arrive early and leave later. Obviously, no obligation to come to everything - but if you can, we would love to have you there.

For those that have arrived early for the wedding we will be hosting pizza at this popular local restaurant and bar. We know a lot of you will be arriving on the Pescara plane on Friday night - you might make it for the last few hours if you are on this flight.

The BBQ is to be held in the very same location where the majority of the best spaghetti westerns were filmed in the 50s and 60s. Its in the mountains above Penne and will be a unique culinary and BBQ'ing experience. The main fare will be Arrosticini. Arrosticini are a traditional dish from the Abruzzo region in Italy. There will be other meats, cold cuts and cheeses available also.
Transport
A car is necessary to get to this location. As the journey to the mountains is quite complicated we will be organising a leader car to meet 11.30am to guide you to the location. Location to be provided in next update
What to wear
The weather can change quite quickly in the mountains so it is advisable to bring jackets/jumpers/long trousers with you just in case this should happen.

There is no Plan B as of yet - however it is likely we will have the BBQ somewhere around Penne if there is an excessive deluge.
